This retaining ring provides axial locking of the dynamo pulley on the crankshaft side nut. The ring fits classic Citroën engines of the 11CV and 15CV type. Due to its dimensions it ensures accurate fit between nut, pulley and shaft and prevents loosening during operation. The flat profile supports even clamping force across the contact area. The retaining ring is used together with a matching nut and dynamo pulley. The material is suitable for mechanical load in engine compartments. The design allows removal and installation during regular maintenance and overhaul of the drive system.
